Another successful Proving Grounds Submission Only tournament in the books. We brought 6 competitors in total and everyone had a great showing of technique and sportsmanship. In the kids divisions, Joshua, Christopher and Ryli all displayed tons of heart and technique and we able to bring home some hardware. Dwayne and Ricky competed in the adult divisions and also left it all on the mats both bringing home medals as well. Tenocht competed in the juniors, as well as adult divisions, and was able to secure two gold and a silver medal with tons of heart and technical savvy displayed in all divisions.
On top of the competitors, we are always very proud of those teammates who worked at the event. A big thanks to Cassy, Amber, Gael and Kelly for devoting the day to helping the event and the sport. Also a big thank you to all the family and friends who came to lend support and encouragement. You are all appreciated! Thank you to everyone for making it another wonderful event.
We had our first round of Sleeper Jiu Jitsu Kids Team promotions in our new space. It is very exciting to see the progress the continuing students have made and exciting to have new students receiving their first stripes and taking part in their first promotions ceremony as part of the Sleeper Kids Team. Congratulations to everyone on their hard work, dedication and perseverance leading up to this round of promotions. You all are awesome and we are proud to have each of you on the team.
